Harry Dingman III earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1989. He has been teaching guitar for 16 years, 13 at Dietze. Harry has played 6 and 12 string electric & acoustic guitars for 28 years. In addition to guitar, he also plays bass guitar and keyboards. Harry has played in original rock bands for 28 years, touring in both North American and Europe. Harry’s original songs have been released internationally on independent and major record labels. His former band, The Millions toured with Sheryl Crow in Europe, and opened for the Smashing Pumpkins, 311, Crash Test Dummies, Joan Jet and the Blackhearts, Suzanne Vega, Jean loves Jezebel, House of Love, and many others in the U.S. Harry currently plays with the Grammy nominated post punk band, For Against, which he co-founded in 1984. For Against released their 8th studio album Nov.10th, 2009 and has done 4 European tours in the last 3 years. Harry enjoys teaching students of all levels – from beginner to advanced. For beginners, he teaches basics with popular songs and melodies. Students learn how to read tablature and chord charts as well as musical notes and notation. For Advanced students, he enjoys helping students find their own sound, style and will work with them on writing their own original songs. In his free time, Harry enjoys painting, drawing, and photography. Harry is also an avid bicycle and long boarding enthusiast. His family includes his wife Holly, daughters Sonja and Alice, and dog Jurgen. They all enjoy music, especially Jurgen who loves to howl along.
