Tuffy Epstein teaches saxophone, clarinet and flute. He has his BME and MME from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He served four years in the Air Force band of the Rockies. Upon discharge he taught band in Carson Macedonia Community schools for two years. From 1964 to 1995 he taught band and orchestra in the Omaha Public Schools. At this time he also played lead saxophone in the Aksarben orchestra and utility woodwinds for the Omaha Symphony and most of the Broadway shows at the Orpheum Theatre. He started his teaching career as a studio instructor at Dietze Music in Lincoln during his last two years at UNL. In 1964 he started teaching at Snyder Music in Omaha which later was bought by Dietze Music putting him back to where he started teaching.
